Health limits
In peak season it is easy to work three weeks straight without anyone noticing, yourself included. With limits you set down how much you want to work, and GigGuru shows how close you are.
The four limits
Section titled “The four limits”On the web under Settings → Limits, in the iPhone app under Settings → Limits, and during onboarding in the last step.
| Limit | What it is | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Max hours per week | How many hours a week (Monday to Sunday) you want to work | more than 0 |
| Max days per month | On how many different days a month you want to have a gig | 1 to 31 |
| Min. rest between jobs (hours) | How many hours off you want at least between two gigs | up to 72 |
| Min. days off per week | How many days a week you want off at least | 0 to 7 |
Leave a field empty and there is no limit for it.
What counts
Section titled “What counts”Every gig that starts in the week or month counts, including ones still to come. So you see on Monday that the week is full, rather than on Friday.
- Hours per week — the length of each gig starting this week.
- Days per month — the number of different days this month on which a gig starts.
What the colours mean
Section titled “What the colours mean”On the dashboard (web and iPhone) a bar shows this week’s hours against your limit:
| Colour | Means |
|---|---|
| Green | below 70% of your limit |
| Amber | 70% or more |
| Red | 90% or more |
In the calendar each week shows its hours in the same colours with slightly different thresholds: amber from 80%, red once you reach or pass the limit.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”When you reach 80% of your hours or days limit, or go over it, it shows up on the web among your notifications, under the bell. It is a notification in the app, not a push notification on your phone: push is for conflicts, booking requests and reminders. In the iPhone app you see it in the dashboard bar and the colours in the calendar.
