Calendar on your iPhone
The iPhone app can also put your gigs straight into your phone’s calendar, in a calendar of its own called GigGuru. That works without an internet connection, and you also see your gigs on a paired Apple Watch.
Switching it on
Section titled “Switching it on”In the app: Settings, and switch on Calendar on your iPhone. The first time, your iPhone asks whether GigGuru may use your calendar; choose Allow. If you decline, you can switch it on later in your iPhone’s settings, under GigGuru.
Updating
Section titled “Updating”The GigGuru calendar is updated when you switch the option on and when you tap Sync now below it. A cancelled or deleted gig then disappears from the calendar too. Gigs more than thirty days in the past are removed.
If you want your calendar to update itself without opening the app, use the calendar subscription.
Subscription or iPhone calendar
Section titled “Subscription or iPhone calendar”Pick one of the two. Both at once puts every gig in your calendar twice.
| Calendar on your iPhone | Calendar subscription | |
|---|---|---|
| Works offline | Yes | Only what your calendar had already fetched |
| Updates itself | When switching it on or on Sync now | Yes, at your calendar app’s pace |
| Also in Google Calendar or Outlook | No, only on this iPhone | Yes |
Switching it off
Section titled “Switching it off”Switch Calendar on your iPhone off again. GigGuru then deletes the whole GigGuru calendar from your phone. Your own appointments are in your other calendars and stay untouched: GigGuru only writes to its own calendar.
