With Moneybird, GigGuru pushes the gigs you have worked as time entries and turns them into draft invoices, one per client. Travel time can go along as a separate, non-billable time entry.

There are two ways. Signing in with Moneybird is the easiest.

  1. On the web, go to Settings → Accounting and pick Moneybird. During onboarding this is the Accounting step.

  2. Choose Connect with Moneybird. You sign in at Moneybird, give GigGuru access and are sent back automatically.

  3. Switch on the sync settings you want. They are all off after connecting.

  1. Create a personal API token in Moneybird. Look for API or developers in your Moneybird account settings.

  2. Find the administration ID: the number in the address bar when you are signed in to Moneybird, moneybird.com/ followed by the ID.

  3. In GigGuru, choose Use API key instead under Moneybird, enter the token and the administration ID, and save the connection.

For each gig that is included:

  • Time entry — a billable entry with the title, start and end time and your notes, linked to the client’s contact.
  • Travel time (when Log travel time as non-billable is on) — a second entry for the round-trip travel time, ending when the gig starts. Moneybird then shows how long your working day really was, without the travel time ending up on the invoice. Only when the travel time is known and the client pays travel.
  • Draft invoice (when Create draft invoices is on) — one draft per client with this round’s time entries, plus a travel line per gig when the client pays travel.

Moneybird builds invoices from time entries, so GigGuru creates time entries even when only Create draft invoices is on.

Gigs with no hourly or day rate are skipped, so no empty entries appear for shifts that have no price yet.

  • It does not send invoices. You do that in Moneybird.
  • It does not change anything already in Moneybird. If you change a rate in GigGuru afterwards, the time entry or invoice in Moneybird stays as it was.
