GigGuru in your own calendar
GigGuru turns all your gigs into a calendar you can subscribe to. Add it to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook and you see your work next to your private appointments, and that calendar keeps itself up to date.
This is the opposite direction from connecting a calendar: there GigGuru brings gigs in, here GigGuru passes them on.
Creating your link
Section titled “Creating your link”-
On the web, go to Settings → Calendar export.
-
Choose Generate feed URL.
-
Choose Copy URL.
In the iPhone app you can create and share the link during onboarding, in the Calendar step. After that you find it on the web.
Adding it to your calendar
Section titled “Adding it to your calendar”Google Calendar (in a browser on your computer): next to Other calendars, choose + → From URL, paste the link and choose Add calendar.
Apple Calendar on the Mac: menu File → New Calendar Subscription…, paste the link.
Apple Calendar on the iPhone: your iPhone’s Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, paste the link.
Outlook (in a browser): Add calendar → Subscribe from web, paste the link.
What’s in it
Section titled “What’s in it”- All your gigs: from your connections and the ones you entered yourself, requests included (as tentative).
- For each gig the title, times, location, notes and client.
- Blocked days are not included.
How quickly it updates
Section titled “How quickly it updates”GigGuru puts a change in the link straight away, but your calendar app decides how often it checks. Google Calendar does that at its own pace, which can take hours; GigGuru has no influence on that. In Apple Calendar on the Mac you set how often the subscription refreshes yourself.
Replacing or withdrawing the link
Section titled “Replacing or withdrawing the link”- Regenerate URL creates a new link. The old one stops working, so calendars using it need to be subscribed again.
- Remove feed withdraws the link entirely.
- Download .ics file gives you a one-off copy of your gigs. It doesn’t update itself.
