Income goal

With an income goal you see each month whether you are on track. Set it on the web under Settings → Goals, in the iPhone app under Settings → Goals, or during onboarding.

  • Monthly income target (€) — what you want to earn per month on average.
  • Vacation weeks per year — how many weeks a year you expect no income. Between 0 and 26.

If you do not work all year, you need to earn more in the months you do work to reach the same yearly amount. GigGuru works that out for you:

adjusted monthly target = monthly target × 52 ÷ (52 − vacation weeks)

Monthly target Vacation weeks Adjusted monthly target
€3,000 0 €3,000
€3,000 4 €3,250
€3,000 6 €3,391.30

The adjusted monthly target is what the dashboard and the Earnings page measure your progress against. You see it while you type the vacation weeks.

The expected earnings of every gig that starts this month, including ones still to come, at the rate that applies to each gig. See Hourly and day rates. A gig without a rate does not count.

The bar is green once you have reached the goal, and amber while you are below it.

GigGuru works with your revenue, not with what is left after tax.
